AAAHHH, Sweet Nothing

Where are we going this weekend you ask, well that would be no where. Nope I even volunteered to watch the Neice and Nephew while my sister works, and even offered to keep them after that so she can get caught up on a few things. All in the name of keeping my butt at home. Well not to mention that they are just frickin cute and I miss them.
What a month. Started off with 3 days in Duluth for conference. The proceeded to 4 days in Hollywood, CA for the premiere. A night out to see the New Kids On the Block, which I did not blog about.....so here goes. Ok, so I agreed to go to this because I was a big hair band fan back in the day, but a closet NKOTB fan. So I have seen BonJovi, Cinderella, Faith No More, Metallica, Poison, and more in concert, and when Kelli asked if I wanted to go, Hell Ya!! It was an awesome concert. Loved it. Thanks Kelli, for making my inner 14 year old happy. And for any of you out there that are asking if I yelled this............I heart you Donnie...........Yes I did. And I am pretty sure he said it back......right Andrea!!!!
Last weekend we took the boys with us to the hotel that we had reserved for our anniversery. Which ended up being a good thing....cause Saturday night, my arse ended up in bed sick. I am pretty sure my body was just sending a reminder that I am not 21 anymore. Whatever.
Which does lead us to the sweet nothing. We actually have lots of plans this weekend, but they are all fun and based around home.

Wonder what November brings???

Love to All. Baker

California/High School Musical 3

Well I am not sure where to even begin. I can say that I have seen the movie and it was good. The girls thought so too. I am not sure what Jeremy thought, I think he was smiling through the whole thing....but I am pretty sure that is because the Laker Girls were there.

Wednesday we left for the airport at about 7:30, by Howard Lake Izzy was saying....Yep.....are we there yet?? How bout now, are we there yet?? By Montrose, Jeremy was threatening to take her home.
We got to ride the light rail from parking to the airport, the girls thought that was cool.

At the airport Izzy was her normal entertaining self. One would of thought we were taking her to Hollywood to get her into the business.....not so much. The flight was fine. The hotel was cool. Its an older hotel you could tell, but it was nicely decorated, very nice. We stayed at the Sheraton Universal. With the Universal City Walk just up the road! We loved that place. Tons to do. Great places to eat. And of course shopping. What is not to love. We ate at Bubba Gumps on Wednesday when we got there. And that is now our favorite place to eat. We hear there is one in the Mall of America....we are soooo there. They make the BEST Bloody Mary I have ever had. OMG!!! By the time we were done eating we had heard about 200 times from Izzy, I want to go swimming, I want to go swimming....so back to the hotel we went and got our swimsuits on....Izzy runs to the pool dives in, and promptly jumps out screaming that the water was the coldest water she ever felt. Jeremy put his foot in and just laughed......ice cold!!! So we sat in the hot tub for a little while and headed back to the room!

Thursday we went up to City walk again and had lunch, bought stuff for the kids, and it was back to the hotel for a nap before the big premiere. With the two hour time change we figured we better get Iz some sleep, and Manders too, she looked as though we had kept her up for a couple days straight. Getting ready for the premiere was a great time, both girls got to were makeup, Daddy did not like that, but it was done while he was in the shower and there was "no time" to take it off. I must say, my girls were so beautiful!!!

We rode the subway to the City and took a cab the rest of the way to the premiere. It was insane the amount of people that were there. We stood at the point where the winner of tickets had to check in. And these people kept walking through and taking to us a little bit, didn't know at the time, but most of them were back up dancers in the movie. Did know that until we went up to the front of the line and there they were signing autographs. INSANE!!! Of course Bella met a friend there, and they got a picture with "Harper" of Wizards of Waverly Place. She also got her autograph. It was just awesome.

Then it was time to check in and get to our seats. Our girls got to do the coolest thing. Something that never in a million years would I have thought possible. They got to walk the red carpet. News media, Entertainment tonight, E-online, you name it, they were there. It was cool. Me, well I just giggled like a school girl.

We found our seats and the stadium started to fill up. The first person we noticed was two rows behind us was one of the guys who played a detective on Maimi Vice, Edward James Olmos. Totally tried to get a picture for Dave.....I know he would of thought that cool. Then in our same row was one of the guys who is in The Shield, sorry for anyone who watches it, I have never even heard of it. Only once did Amanda jump up, and that was when Rico from Hannah Montana was a couple rows up. She didn't make it him in time. The girls were able to get a picture with the dad from Wizards of Waverly place, who sat right in front of us. Again, crazy fun.

We rode the Subway back to the hotel, Isabella didn't make it long into the ride and she was out. Mind you it was 1 am Minnesota time. Don't think she has ever made it up that long. So Daddy carried her up the HUGE hill to our hotel, and when we got to the top, I peeked over his shoulder at her and she had her head down, eyes open and a huge smile on her face. Daddy is such a sucker!!!

Friday we went to the Hollywood walk of Fame. That was cool. We spend time at the Wax museum, and Guinness Book of World Records. It was very fun and very cool. We ate at the Disney Soda and Studios Store for lunch. Amanda and Iz had great strawberry shakes, and grilled cheese in the shape of Mickey Mouse. She was in seventh heaven that she got to have a picture with Mickey Mouse.

Then it was time to head back to the hotel and get packed up. Took a nap as we were taking the red eye home. Had one last great supper at the City Walk and started our journey to the airport.
It was very good to be home. We had a blast. But I missed my boys and I wanted to get back to them.
I will post more Pic's at a later time.
Love to All!

Apple Day

Another sign of the Summer being gone. It was the annual Apple day at the Eckhoff orchard. Amanda has been a guest Eckhoff that day for years. This year we all took part in the day! And what a fun day it was. We started off in the orchard picking apples. I think the tally was something like 20-25 buschels of apples. Thats alot of apples. After that Judy treated us to a wonderful lunch and the peeling began! I think in all we made 30 pies and 30 apple crisp. Something like that anyway. The kids had a blast, everyone was super patient with Izzy, we all know how quiet she can be.....she took over the sign in book, telling people if they didnt sign it, they had to leave. Judy let her take a turn trying to roll out the pie dough. She did a good job. The super star was Josh. He started rolling dough and was quite the pie maker. They tell me that not everyone is able to make pie and that he was a natural.
All in all. It was a great day spending time with family and friends. I am very thankful to have been invited.

After all that drama

I pulled into the driveway tonight and honked the horn. No one came running, so I gathered my stuff and headed inside. I found an extremely clean house. Supper in the crock pot. Laundry done. Not bad. Not bad at all. Josh and Manders were happy to see me. They had to go get Izzy and Jack, they were playing with Ky. Got some big loves from then, and then was promptly asked what I brought home for them. ("When daddy goes away, he always brings us something"). Thank god I bought them some of those old time suckers. So I have to say. Gone for 3 days and the house looks great. The only thing that was forgotten was Jacks 5 year check up, and shots, and I will take the blame for that one as I did not write it on the calander.......or maybe I did and Jack erased it???? HHHmmmm. Good to be home. Cant wait to crawl into my bed. The only sad part is, Jeremy is gone. So I dont get to see him until Sunday. Then its time to pack and off to LA.

Leaving

As I am getting ready to leave for my conference in Duluth, Izzy is staring at me with tears in her eyes. She looks at me and says, Mommy I can deal with Daddy leaving, he leaves all the time for a couple of days to go fishing. But you never leave. I cant deal with this. And she has been an emotional wreck since. Right now she is crying because she "wanted 2 minutes of quiet and Nick and Jack wont stay out of my room". It is quite dramatic here at the Baker house. I guess I will have to start going away more often!! Na. But I am looking forward to going to Duluth. There are a couple of great classes that I am really looking forward to taking. And two of the girls going with happen to have birthdays while we are up there. So it should be a fun time. Gotta go finish packing.

Happy rest of the week!!!
