The best Saturday EVER

So yesterday there was no work, no fishing, no drumline. Just the family home. Nothing going on. Jeremy even stayed home from fishing. I am sure he told the boys I said no. But I didnt. He actually chose to stay home and spend the day with us! Yeah!!! It was great! We got the Christmas stuff put away, got the house back to normal, which did include a couple of hours upstairs cleaning the kids rooms. I think the phrase...."you have to many toys" was said about a million times. Then it was time to play! Jeremy, Josh, Amanda, and I spent about 3 hours (on and off) playing Rock Band 2. Oh my how fun. All in all, it was a GREAT Saturday, one that does not happen to often in this busy life of ours!

Where the heck

has the time gone!!!???

I can not believe that the month of December is almost gone. And I wont be sad when it is. Dont get me wrong I love the month of December, but it is so busy that its just hard to enjoy it cause it goes so fast! So what has the Baker family been up to? Well let me tell you,
The weekend of the 6th and 7th...That was the weekend we were sick, so pretty much just sat our butts at home.
On the 14th the Chap girls got together for our annual day of Cookie Madness. Love it! We mad cookies, then we made some more cookies, and then we made some bars, pretzels, rosettes, and more cookies. The little kiddos decorated sugar cookies, lots and lots of sugar cookies, they were.......well......the were interesting. BUT they thought they were aweome, so that is all that really mattered.

This weekend we started our family gatherings. On Saturday we spent the day in Silver Lake with the Pokornowski clan. What a great day. We did it a little different this year in there was no gift exchange. There was a visit by the big man himself, so the kids got a small gift from him. When we got home that night Amanda looked at me and said that was the best Christmas she had been to in a long time. The cousin just got to play. They played games, sat in bothes and chatted and just had an awesome time. Izzy and Jack were so tired from running through the auditorium that they feel asleep on the way home. A very good day.

Today we spend the day with the Chaps. Again so good to see everyone. The kids have so much fun with there cousins!! It is so great to see the generations bound like the generations past have done! It just really warms a heart!

Well two and a half days of work and then its Christmas eve. We head out to Eric and Carissa's. They had the misfourtune of building a big beautiful house that happens to fit the Chap clan in..
so I am not sure if they volunteer, or if one of us "volunteers" for them. Hopefully the kids dont break anything this year! (yes it was one of my kids!!) Good food, some games and just fun hangin out.

Christmas day we just hang out at home. Jeremy has to work, so if anyone has an emergany, dont worry you are in good hands. Amanda and Josh are going to be with their Grandma Mattson. So Izzy, Jack and I will be home playing with our new toys.

Well have a great week! A Merry Christmas. Stay warm, stay safe!

Love to all!

Jess

Down with the Sickness

Yep, that is what we are! Down with the sickness. Today is Thursday. If we keep on, it will be one week with it. It started last Saturday night with Manders getting it. She woke me up to tell me she got sick. And when I checked on her Saturday morning, I found her in her bathroom with the door shut and a little heater running, it had to be 90 degrees in there. But she was cold. She spent the remainder of the day in the bathroom and in bed. Meanwhile me and the rest of the kiddo's went to church......bad idea....we left midway through as I felt as though praying that I wasnt going to throw up wasnt going to be answered! To bed I went. Got up at 6pm, went back to bed at 7, and slept until 7am. Went back to bed at 7:30, and slept till 10. Made it back to work Tuesday, but left early for a nap, couldnt do it anymore. And Jeremy was next......pretty much we have fallen like flies around here. With Jack being our latest one to get it today. He is pretty funny though. He will have his head hangin in the toilet and get done and say Uf Da that was bad, or Uf Da I am really sick.

So we all know what this means to me.......Saturday bright and early........little bit of bleach and water......massive cleaning......here I come.

What a nice day.

Well turkey day is done. It was a very nice day. We went out to Dads house. I felt a little emotional all day. I kept thinking that it could be the last time we ever had Thanksgiving in the house that I grew up in. Now I know I was a little crap head in that house. But it is still the house I grew up in. It was a great day. Eric, Carissa, Mel, Dave and kids, us, Dad, Julie, Joey and Jacob along with Julies family was there. Tina, Nathan and the girls joined us later in the afternoon. We had the traditional lunch, but Julies mom brought this pumpkin pie that was AWESOME! Holy moly it was good. We watched Christmas Vacation, and played cards and Apples to Apples. It was all in all a very nice way to spend the day.

Well I am off. Jeremy and I are meeting some people up town, Martin Zeller is playing at the golf course. So we are going to go see him.

Thanksgiving

I am feeling very thankful this year. With so much crap going on in the world. I look around and see how freakin lucky I am. Yep money is tight, but I am able to go to a movie with my child and still pay my electric bill. I am able to put gas in my car, and still go get some groceries, I do not have to choose between buying medication for my sick child and paying my rent. So while I may not be able to go buy myself a shirt full price right now, I am able to make it. We have had so many blessings in our lives.......

Some of the things I am thankful for

-My family, my rock, my sounding board, my friends.

-My kids, without them, I am just me, with them, I am everything.

-My husband, my friend, my lover, the person I need to see everyday, my partner, I am lucky. I am loved. Loved for me. I dont just love him for who he is, I also love him for who I am when I am with him.

-My job. I may not always like it. But I have it, and thats alot.

-My co-workers, my friends. They are one of the reasons I get out of bed in the morning, right after coffee and my kids!!

-Good music

-My sisters. We are like a circle, complete, never ending.

I thank God. Without him. None of this would be mine to have.

BINGO

So on Wednesday night a couple of girls I work with and I went out for drinks and to play bingo. It was so much fun. Of course after a drink or two, we tend to get funnier and we started to think of different ways we could do our walk in interviews. Here are a couple of ideas
-do the interview in an irish accent.....Karen did that on Thursday, I almost pissed myself. Her name is now Pippy.
-when the client cries....it happens often, just lay your head down on your desk and start to cry your self. (Jackie's idea)
-pretend you fall asleep every couple of minutes, I know the word, just dont know how to spell it, and I am to lazy right now to look it up. (Karen's idea)
-Take out a silver gum wrapper and tell them you need to put it on there finger, that is was a lie detector. (my idea, what do you mean am I married to someone who works for the sheriffs dept)
-Scratch your head the whole time like you have lice.
-Start swearing often.......
the list was endless.
So the super fun part of the evening was when my friend Karen stood up on the last game and yelled BINGO........and she is doing this little dance, cause the cheap ass, who didnt want to spend the 2.50 to take cash out of the cash machine, thinks that she just won 99.00. I am jumping with her trying to get her attention to tell her that NO, in fact she had just won, $1000.00. No kidding she just won 1000.00. I think it took her a while to realize what she just won. What an awesome night!!!!
And let me tell you.......this could NOT have happened to a better person........think about what you would do with 1000.00...............
Heres what she did, gave some to church, gave some to a charity dealing with children, gave some to the humane society, is giving some to her mom who watches her kids 2 days a week for her, and maybe, just maybe.....she is going to go and try to find a shirt for herself that is not on the clearence rack..........I could learn alot from this friend of mine............I HAVE learned alot from this friend of mine..........man am I the lucky one.

She just makes me laugh

Isabella.

So Thursday morning, 7am. All in one breathe mind you.....

"Yeah Mommy, tommorow is Friday and I dont have school I am going to the dentist taking daddy's fish house to hutch and then I am going with daddy to get his knee looked at and I am going to watch them take out the stiches cause that doesnt make me sick like it makes Jackson sick oh we are going to be at the doctors and I should probably get my flu shot cause you know if you get your flu shot you are less likely to get sick and you need to get your flu shot before December so you dont get sick in December and I have so much going on in December that I can not get sick there is just no time for that and it is going to hurt but only for a minute and I can deal with that do you think they will have colored bandaides..............................................."

Flu shot scheduled for 3pm today. I dont think Jackson will thank her.

Dr Baker

At work we now need to carry a beeper on the days that we are on phones. So I have requested that on my phone days I be called Dr Baker. And if they need to page me, I want it to be 911 or code blue.
So I have been trying to think of my Greys name, like McCutie, McLove, but really all I can think of is McBitchy, or McWhiney.
HHHMMM.

Trick or Treat!!!

Well here is two of our trick or treaters. What a fun night. Izzy and Jack started by hitting some of the neighbors houses and then it was off to see the Grandpas, Grandmas, Aunties and Uncles. I think it was 5 stops and we had to get a walmart bag from Uncle Eric and Auntie Carissa to put there goods in. What a fun night seeing people.

AAAHHH, Sweet Nothing

Where are we going this weekend you ask, well that would be no where. Nope I even volunteered to watch the Neice and Nephew while my sister works, and even offered to keep them after that so she can get caught up on a few things. All in the name of keeping my butt at home. Well not to mention that they are just frickin cute and I miss them.
What a month. Started off with 3 days in Duluth for conference. The proceeded to 4 days in Hollywood, CA for the premiere. A night out to see the New Kids On the Block, which I did not blog about.....so here goes. Ok, so I agreed to go to this because I was a big hair band fan back in the day, but a closet NKOTB fan. So I have seen BonJovi, Cinderella, Faith No More, Metallica, Poison, and more in concert, and when Kelli asked if I wanted to go, Hell Ya!! It was an awesome concert. Loved it. Thanks Kelli, for making my inner 14 year old happy. And for any of you out there that are asking if I yelled this............I heart you Donnie...........Yes I did. And I am pretty sure he said it back......right Andrea!!!!
Last weekend we took the boys with us to the hotel that we had reserved for our anniversery. Which ended up being a good thing....cause Saturday night, my arse ended up in bed sick. I am pretty sure my body was just sending a reminder that I am not 21 anymore. Whatever.
Which does lead us to the sweet nothing. We actually have lots of plans this weekend, but they are all fun and based around home.

Wonder what November brings???

Love to All. Baker

California/High School Musical 3

Well I am not sure where to even begin. I can say that I have seen the movie and it was good. The girls thought so too. I am not sure what Jeremy thought, I think he was smiling through the whole thing....but I am pretty sure that is because the Laker Girls were there.

Wednesday we left for the airport at about 7:30, by Howard Lake Izzy was saying....Yep.....are we there yet?? How bout now, are we there yet?? By Montrose, Jeremy was threatening to take her home.
We got to ride the light rail from parking to the airport, the girls thought that was cool.

At the airport Izzy was her normal entertaining self. One would of thought we were taking her to Hollywood to get her into the business.....not so much. The flight was fine. The hotel was cool. Its an older hotel you could tell, but it was nicely decorated, very nice. We stayed at the Sheraton Universal. With the Universal City Walk just up the road! We loved that place. Tons to do. Great places to eat. And of course shopping. What is not to love. We ate at Bubba Gumps on Wednesday when we got there. And that is now our favorite place to eat. We hear there is one in the Mall of America....we are soooo there. They make the BEST Bloody Mary I have ever had. OMG!!! By the time we were done eating we had heard about 200 times from Izzy, I want to go swimming, I want to go swimming....so back to the hotel we went and got our swimsuits on....Izzy runs to the pool dives in, and promptly jumps out screaming that the water was the coldest water she ever felt. Jeremy put his foot in and just laughed......ice cold!!! So we sat in the hot tub for a little while and headed back to the room!

Thursday we went up to City walk again and had lunch, bought stuff for the kids, and it was back to the hotel for a nap before the big premiere. With the two hour time change we figured we better get Iz some sleep, and Manders too, she looked as though we had kept her up for a couple days straight. Getting ready for the premiere was a great time, both girls got to were makeup, Daddy did not like that, but it was done while he was in the shower and there was "no time" to take it off. I must say, my girls were so beautiful!!!

We rode the subway to the City and took a cab the rest of the way to the premiere. It was insane the amount of people that were there. We stood at the point where the winner of tickets had to check in. And these people kept walking through and taking to us a little bit, didn't know at the time, but most of them were back up dancers in the movie. Did know that until we went up to the front of the line and there they were signing autographs. INSANE!!! Of course Bella met a friend there, and they got a picture with "Harper" of Wizards of Waverly Place. She also got her autograph. It was just awesome.

Then it was time to check in and get to our seats. Our girls got to do the coolest thing. Something that never in a million years would I have thought possible. They got to walk the red carpet. News media, Entertainment tonight, E-online, you name it, they were there. It was cool. Me, well I just giggled like a school girl.

We found our seats and the stadium started to fill up. The first person we noticed was two rows behind us was one of the guys who played a detective on Maimi Vice, Edward James Olmos. Totally tried to get a picture for Dave.....I know he would of thought that cool. Then in our same row was one of the guys who is in The Shield, sorry for anyone who watches it, I have never even heard of it. Only once did Amanda jump up, and that was when Rico from Hannah Montana was a couple rows up. She didn't make it him in time. The girls were able to get a picture with the dad from Wizards of Waverly place, who sat right in front of us. Again, crazy fun.

We rode the Subway back to the hotel, Isabella didn't make it long into the ride and she was out. Mind you it was 1 am Minnesota time. Don't think she has ever made it up that long. So Daddy carried her up the HUGE hill to our hotel, and when we got to the top, I peeked over his shoulder at her and she had her head down, eyes open and a huge smile on her face. Daddy is such a sucker!!!

Friday we went to the Hollywood walk of Fame. That was cool. We spend time at the Wax museum, and Guinness Book of World Records. It was very fun and very cool. We ate at the Disney Soda and Studios Store for lunch. Amanda and Iz had great strawberry shakes, and grilled cheese in the shape of Mickey Mouse. She was in seventh heaven that she got to have a picture with Mickey Mouse.

Then it was time to head back to the hotel and get packed up. Took a nap as we were taking the red eye home. Had one last great supper at the City Walk and started our journey to the airport.
It was very good to be home. We had a blast. But I missed my boys and I wanted to get back to them.
I will post more Pic's at a later time.
Love to All!

Apple Day

Another sign of the Summer being gone. It was the annual Apple day at the Eckhoff orchard. Amanda has been a guest Eckhoff that day for years. This year we all took part in the day! And what a fun day it was. We started off in the orchard picking apples. I think the tally was something like 20-25 buschels of apples. Thats alot of apples. After that Judy treated us to a wonderful lunch and the peeling began! I think in all we made 30 pies and 30 apple crisp. Something like that anyway. The kids had a blast, everyone was super patient with Izzy, we all know how quiet she can be.....she took over the sign in book, telling people if they didnt sign it, they had to leave. Judy let her take a turn trying to roll out the pie dough. She did a good job. The super star was Josh. He started rolling dough and was quite the pie maker. They tell me that not everyone is able to make pie and that he was a natural.
All in all. It was a great day spending time with family and friends. I am very thankful to have been invited.

After all that drama

I pulled into the driveway tonight and honked the horn. No one came running, so I gathered my stuff and headed inside. I found an extremely clean house. Supper in the crock pot. Laundry done. Not bad. Not bad at all. Josh and Manders were happy to see me. They had to go get Izzy and Jack, they were playing with Ky. Got some big loves from then, and then was promptly asked what I brought home for them. ("When daddy goes away, he always brings us something"). Thank god I bought them some of those old time suckers. So I have to say. Gone for 3 days and the house looks great. The only thing that was forgotten was Jacks 5 year check up, and shots, and I will take the blame for that one as I did not write it on the calander.......or maybe I did and Jack erased it???? HHHmmmm. Good to be home. Cant wait to crawl into my bed. The only sad part is, Jeremy is gone. So I dont get to see him until Sunday. Then its time to pack and off to LA.

Leaving

As I am getting ready to leave for my conference in Duluth, Izzy is staring at me with tears in her eyes. She looks at me and says, Mommy I can deal with Daddy leaving, he leaves all the time for a couple of days to go fishing. But you never leave. I cant deal with this. And she has been an emotional wreck since. Right now she is crying because she "wanted 2 minutes of quiet and Nick and Jack wont stay out of my room". It is quite dramatic here at the Baker house. I guess I will have to start going away more often!! Na. But I am looking forward to going to Duluth. There are a couple of great classes that I am really looking forward to taking. And two of the girls going with happen to have birthdays while we are up there. So it should be a fun time. Gotta go finish packing.

Happy rest of the week!!!

Busy Month

Well its that time again to update the calander and see what is happening in Oct. I am going to blink and it is going to be November. This week is homecoming for the kids at school. So they are all getting ready for the many days that are coming up this week. My fav being Spririt day which falls on picture day. That is awesome. Walmart photo lab here we come. Monday night Jeremy and I are going to WWE Raw. Friday night we are going to the homecoming game. Next week I leave for a financial worker conference in Duluth on Wednesday and we stay until Friday, in which we will meet Jeremy in Milaca and we head up to the camper to close that up for the weekend. And then get together with some of his lake state buddies. Always a good time. I think so far the week of the 12th we get to just let that week slide by. Nothing on the calander yet, hopefully we can keep it that way. The next week on Tuesday me and Kelli go to the New Kids on the Block concert. Stop pretending that we are dumb, you know your jealous. Thursday we are having Jacks birthday party, and Friday Jeremy and I leave for a weekend by ourselves for our our 6 year anniversary. Then its Halloween and then wow its November. Time flys when your having fun. See you in November!

We won a High School Musical DVD (extended dance version) and a chance to go to the premeire. AND we won tickets to Monday nights WWE Raw. I was super nervous on the phone, went into my 12 year old nervous laugh. I love winning stuff. See listening to that radio station for 15 years pays off!

Evil

Well I got my arse on that nasty machine. Ok, I guess if it hadnt been 2 months since I was last on it, it probably would be nasty. But wow. I did make it a mile. I again will make it up to 2 1/2. In case your wondering why I chose 2 1/2 I will tell you. I know I can always fit in a half an hour of working out. Would I love to be able to fit in a 2 hours work out at the gym, yep. Will I ever be able to, nope. In the past I will try these diets that are extreme, workouts that are long. But sooner or later life gets in the way. So this time I am trying to make small changes that I can actually stick with. Is the weight loss slower? Yep. But I would like it to last this time, so I am going with Slow and steady wins the race. And so far the best advice/encouragement came from Jeremy. I came home a little disappointed after only losing 1 lb one week, I had worked my butt off, ate great, and one frickin lb???? He looked at me and said, honey if you lost one lb a week for one year, that is 52 lbs in a year. Slow and steady, it wins the race. So now I just focus on how good my clothes feel, and how good I feel! Have a great Saturday all!

Dear Computer

I would like to take this time to say I am sorry. No you are not stupid. I was angry. Again, so sorry.

Your faithful owner,
the Stupid computer user

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Finally!!

Well something is wrong with our stupid computer, it wont upload pictures. So This blog is not as exciting as I think it is. But we finally got the computer out of our bedroom! (Yes the problem started after that.) And we are computer idiots...so it may be a while for more pictures to be posted.

But we do finally have a computer room (with a stupid computer). It is cool. We also have an eliptical in here now, so I can get back on there and work myself back up to 2 1/2 miles on that thing. Its a love hate relationship, I love to hate it, but I do love to get a 2 1/2 mile work out in, in about 20 min's to a half hour.

I had set my goal to lose 30 lbs by Oct, I was down 23, however, that last few weeks of summer kicked my arse and I am up 3. But back to the weight watchers meeting Thurs night and my arse back on the eliptical and I will be back on my way. So maybe I will need to bump it out to Nov to hit that 30.

Alright, I am off. I will let you know how far I get on the eliptical tomorrow, I am hoping I can do a mile before Jeremy has to call 911. (I wonder if we get an employee discount?)

Weekend

This weekend went super fast AGAIN. I can not believe how time flys. We watched Madi on Saturday for Mel while she worked. And then Mel found our her good friend Tiff had her baby, so she ran and pinched cheeks before going home. Again... If Madi could be any better of a baby!! Saturday night we were invited out, but the amount of money that I sent to school this week did not allow for that to happen and still be able to live this week. 4 homecoming t-shirts, lunch money ($50.00 sent to the school does not last long with 3 kids eating), and school pictures this week already. Man. Oh well. We set up bunk beds in Josh's room. Thanks Grandpa!! Jack now gets to sleep upstairs with Josh. We will eventually make Jacks room into a office, eliptical room. But I am just taking my time to make sure the two boys can be in a room together. No big hurry.

Sunday I had Nick and Madi here while Dave and Mel enjoyed a day at the Vikings game. It is amazing how fast you get out of two year mode. That kid is fast. I would set Madi down to change her diaper and Nick would be out the door in the sand box. Now to be far to Nick when he is here, him and Jack ususaly spend ALL day out side in the sand box. Its what they love to do. So coming to my house and not being able to do it has to be disappointing. But fun day was had by all. (I hope)

Well off to bed. Time to start a new week. Happy Monday people!

Second week of school, Done.

Yesterday I sat at work and had a weird feeling all day that I was going to get a call from the school that Izzy had broke her arm.........dramatic, yes I know. But it was a nagging feeling and it lasted all day. Even during interviews, when my phone would ring I would peek over to make sure. This all day, every day, school thing is kicking her butt. For those of you who know her and her energy, this kid will go all day. But she barely makes it through supper. She has been in bed by 7:30 just about ever night. She made it to 8 Wednesday, but only case Molly was there playing with her. Today I think the only reason I got her out of bed was because I promised she could sleep in tommorow....good luck Iz, Nick and Madi will be there by 8. But I guess 8 is later the 6.
Amanda is doing well, she is happy that her Math class is going well for her this year. She seems to get it more then the last couple of years. (She is in a intergrated, ie-smart kid class, didnt get it from me). She is really getting good at flute. SSSOOO ready for drumline to start.
Josh is doing GREAT. I am so impressed with him. His reading is just cominig along nicely. Now we are just working on his confidence. I think he is the only one who doesnt see how far he's come. When he has a questions he almost starts to cry because he is so frustrated. So we are really working on pumping him up, getting that confidence up.
Now.....I got a picture message last night at about 9:30. It was a picture of my neice Ky with a sling on her arm...............please refer to the beginning of my message and my bad feeling from yesterday...........Kyleah broke her arm yesterday playing on the school playground.........gotta go, I feel some numbers coming into my head and I have to run to holiday and get a lottery ticket.

Things I did during the Vikings game.

Ten Things I did while the Viking Played.
1-read my weight watchers magizine
2-recorded what I ate for the last 3 days, anyone know the points for 10 screw drivers.
3-tickled toes of the kids while they hid under the covers from the tickle monster.
4-cooked supper.
5-did the dishes
6-gave the kids a wash cloth bath.
7-made our beds.
8-read Izzy a story.
9-talked to Kelli on the phone
10-updated my blog!

All in all a very successful evening.

15 years!!!

Seriously???

This weekend was a blast. Friday night we had the pleasure of watching Madi. Oh my that little girl is just sooooo cute. And good. Mel and Dave took Nick to the football game, and I fully took advantage in saying "oh its to cold for a baby to be at the football game" it worked. They dropped her off and we played and played, she stayed overnight. I have to say, She was here from Friday night till Saturday afternoon, the kid cried once. Oh she is good.

Saturday night was Jeremy's 15 year class reunion. We were laughing at two thoughts of the evening. One, Jeremy and his non forgetting memory can remember just about every detail from his high schools years, so how can it be 15 years.......and two, who in the heck would of EVER thought we would roll up to our 15 year in a mini van???? Odd. Maybe for our 20 we can have a "cool car". But what a fun time, I must clarify.......Jeremy had to work the next day, so.... I...... taking one for the team, enjoyed myself. I am pretty sure that I will not get sick this winter at ALL. I was drinking screwdrivers, and I know that I had enough vitiman C to keep me well all winter long. It was very cool to see everyone on Saturday night. How come is it that you dont realize how much you miss seeing people until you see them......I sure wish we lived closer to the Westling family, as I think they would be fun to hang out with more often. :)

Even with the fun night had Saturday, I still managed to be up, go get Izzy at Grandma's, get the kids ready and have them to church for Rally Sunday. (yes I did take a nap on Sunday afternoon)

Vikings vs Packers....tonight.....

Trees

If you look really close, you can see Jack is in the tree. About half way up. Below is the close up. Little monkely butt. Man does he look like Josh in that picture from afar. But if you click on the pictures, you can see Jack.

Addition to the Family

Well here she is. The newest addition to our family. In a moment of parenting weakness, we agreed to something we thought would never happen. And yet it did. But I tell you what. This is one good dog. As all babies, she does not quite sleep through the night yet, but we are hopeing that come soon. Other then that, not an accident in the house yet, and a really good personality. So in not planning on getting another animal, it was, as was all our suprises in our lives, a really good addition to our family.

Halloween

The kiddos getting ready to go trick or treating.

Our Labor Day weekend.

It started off Wed night, Jeremy and the kids picked me up from work and we headed up to the pond. Wed night was pretty laid back. Just unloaded the Tahoe and got settled in. I hadnt had that many days off in a row for a long time.

We got up Thursday and headed up to Brainerd to get some lunch and groceries. Ouch that hurt, but still had 5 more days off, so I was ok.

Friday was my favorite day by far. Yep those who know me, know what we did....Paul Bunyon land.................................Man do I love this place. I could go there all the time. No its not the same as when we were little and it was in Brainerd. But I still love it. Fun times had by all.
Sat was Halloween at the campgrounds. That was fun. The kids remembered to grab Izzy's ballerina outfit that she wanted to wear. But half was up told me that they didnt bring Jacks. However, he said he wanted to be a mummy. THAT we could work with and that we did. The big kids decided that it was time to pack it in for trick or treating. But most of the people at the camp ground gave them candy anyway, so they were happy.
Sunday, well Sunday it was hot. So there were two trips to the pool and lots of Rummy 500 played. But still all in all a very fun day.
Monday, well that was sad. Time to go home. We were on the road by 9:30am a new record for the Bakers. But with school starting the next day it was time to get home and get everyone ready. Lots to look forward to coming home.............................thats another post.

First timer

Well as I check up on the people I know blogging, and those I dont. I find that I am quite addicted to this blogging thing. So I just decided that I would join in and let people know what is happening at the Baker Ranch. So here goes the first of the blogs.
